Shining Stars Gymnastics Team
Shining Stars is the Girl’s Recreational Team at Let It Shine. It is a great way to be a competitive gymnast with a smaller practice commitment and local gymnastics meets.
Our Shining Stars Teams start at level 2 and go through level 6, following USAG routine guidelines and skills.

Who is eligible for Shining Stars?
Ages: 6-18

Gymnasts in the Advanced Girls Rec program often consider Shining Stars as the next step. Gymnasts will be invited to the program via their Girls Rec Coach. Please don't hesitate to talk with your coach and ask for an evaluation!

To qualify for Level 2 Shining Stars, gymnasts should be able to perform an unassisted pullover, back hip circle on bars, and a bridge kick-over on floor.
Competing is required!
The meet season starts in November and ends in April. There are 1-2 competitions per month. There are a number of meets required per season, depending on how many competitions are offered on the schedule.

What are the costs associated with the team?
Tuition: $178-$260 per month
Team Leotard: $65-80
Meet fees: Usually in the vicinity of $80-100/meet
What is the mission of Shining Stars?
Safety for each athlete through learning proper technique and form, growing in class behavior, and
being able to follow rules and directions. Success through progressing in gymnastics skills, setting
goals, and building character and persistence.
What are the goals of the program?

Learn and compete gymnastics routine in a Christ-centered environment

Compete in a number of competitions per season (November-April)

Progress in skills, strength and flexibility and receive feedback through 3 progress reports
placed throughout the season
Recreational Competitions
Let It Shine hosts three competitions per year for training teams, women's rec teams, HUGS athletes (special needs) and USAG teams.
