Who We Are
Tim and Janie Richards started Let It Shine Gymnastics (LIS) in Franklin, TN in August of 1983. The vision was to run a gym where families in the community could come and experience safe and positive gymnastics classes for children of all ages. Ultimately, they desired for the program to teach more than just the sport of gymnastics as they placed a strong emphasis on the principles of Christianity and chose to honor Jesus Christ in all aspects.

LIS has experienced an amazing journey since the beginning with a singular 6,000 square foot warehouse in South Franklin. Currently, LIS operates with two adjacent buildings totaling approximately 55,000 square feet. Together they host many programs including recreational and competitive gymnastics classes, trampoline, tumbling, ninja, adaptive, and parent+child classes. Furthermore, LIS incorporates activities such as birthday parties, open play, parents' night out, and various day camps including summer camp.
As the decades of business have passed since LIS began, they have been abundantly blessed to teach over 150,000 children in the Middle Tennessee area. We have cheered on more state, regional, and national champions in the sport of Gymnastics, Trampoline and Power Tumbling than any other club in Tennessee. In the college arena, LIS has produced over three dozen athletes receiving Gymnastics, Acro and Cheerleading scholarships. The dedication and love from the LIS staff is unparalleled at this club and has impacted generations of families in the Nashville community.

Our Mission
Our mission is to provide exceptional gymnastics programs in a state-of-the-art facility instructed by staff who emulate the life of Christ. We want our members to have fun and develop their minds, bodies, and souls in the safest manner possible all for the glory of God. We acknowledge that we are not perfect, but we pursue excellence by seeking continuous improvements in every aspect of our business.
